Millions and millions of people are overweight. Some may need to lose 50 pounds, some may only need to lose 10. If you’re reading this, there is a good chance you are someone who fits in to the category of wanting to lose weight from a specific part of your body. In this case, your belly.
Now I don’t mean to to dishearten you, but I have to tell you this. You cannot spot reduce a specific part of your body. That is, you cannot specifically target one place of your body to lose weight. Additionally, our belly is generally the last place fat will disappear from so you will have your work cut out for you to get there. Don’t stress, however, because it’s definitely possible. Use these tips as a guide;
- Eat more frequently. Frequency of meals is very important to any weight loss regime. Instead of eating 3 big meals a day opt to instead eat 5-6 smaller portioned meals. By doing this, you are helping speed up your metabolism which helps your body burn fat naturally.
- Drink more water. Similarly to eating more frequently, drinking water helps speed up your metabolism and it also helps flush out unwanted toxins from your body. It’s recommended that you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Personally, I drink a minimum of 3 litres a day.
- Exercise more. Try and incorporate exercise into your every day lifestyle. Doing things like walking instead of driving if you’re going a short distance, riding a bike, swimming, joining a gym and doing one of their classes. Anything at all that is going to help you burn calories will be beneficial for your long term health and wellness.
